Terms of use
Entertainment only
Bollaspá is a cup-reading game in the tradition of tasseography. Readings are generated from the shapes in your cup and are offered for entertainment and reflection. They are not predictions of the future and they are not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. Decisions you make remain your own.
Using the app
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Bollaspá, and at least 18 to make purchases, or have a parent's consent.
- Photograph only your own cup or one you have permission to photograph. Do not upload images of people, documents, or anything unrelated to a cup; such images are not read.
- Do not attempt to circumvent free-reading limits, automate requests, or interfere with the service.
Free readings and purchases
- Each device receives one free reading, subject to fair-use limits.
- Single reading: a one-time purchase of one reading. It is consumed when a reading is delivered. If a photo turns out not to be a readable cup, the reading is not consumed.
- Monthly plan: an auto-renewing subscription giving a daily allowance of readings. In the App Store version it is billed to your Apple ID, renews automatically at the shown price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and is managed or cancelled in your App Store account settings. On the web it is billed by Stripe and can be cancelled through the customer portal link in the app.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its terms; for web purchases, contact us.
Availability
Readings depend on third-party services (the model provider, hosting, and payment providers). We may change, pause, or discontinue features. If a paid reading cannot be delivered because of a failure on our side, it is not consumed.
Content and intellectual property
Your photos remain yours. The reading text is generated for you and you may share it freely. The app, its artwork, and its symbol lexicon are owned by URRU.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Bollaspá is provided "as is", and URRU is not liable for decisions made in reliance on a reading or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Icelandic or EU consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Consumers in the EEA keep the protections of their home country's law.
Changes
If these terms change, the effective date above changes with it. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
